HOLDAY G4 - Salmon, Trout and Sea Trout on the river Sella and its tributaries.
Information
The river Sella and its tributaries are only second to the Narcea for Salmon 753 being officially recorded in the 2001 season, but offer great Trout and Sea Trout fishing as well. I fished the famous Captains pool last August with Sea Trout Jumping everywhere, an amazing sight. This is a tourist area with the beautiful national park of Picos de Europa on your doorstep.
Other points of interest include the Roman Bridge in Cangas de Onis, and the Paintings in the Cave of Buxa 5km. from Cangas de Onis.
Season. From the 17th. March to the 21st. July for Salmon. Trout and Sea Trout from the 12th. May to the 18th. August.
Hotels next to the river. (You can poke a rod out of the window!) Approx £43 per night 2 people in a double room, or £75 for 5star Parador.

How to get there.
Ferry to Santander from Plymouth with Brittany ferries from approx. £188 for 2 people return, and drive along the coast apx. 80 miles.
Fly from Gatwick to Oviedo with Iberia or BA. Approx. £300 per person return. And rent a car from £16 per day. Approx. 1 hour drive to the river.
